The Rural Clinical School Library (South West Queensland Region) in Toowoomba is located in the Library and Resource Centre of the School's Teaching and Learning Centre at 152 West Street. The Library provides resources and services to support the teaching, learning and research needs of UQ staff and students in the Rural Clinical School and the wider Faculty of Health Sciences located in the region.

The Library and Resource Centre is located on the ground floor of the UQ Rural Clinical School's Teaching and Learning Centre at 152 West Street, Toowoomba.
Clients may access the collection, including books, videos and multimedia CDs. The loans/information desk is located at the entrance of the Library. Computers are available for UQ students and staff to access the library catalogue, databases and the internet, word processing, email and computer assisted learning packages. The returns chute is located in the Library desk.

The Library is open from 8:30am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday.
Opening hours for other Library branches are available from the Library website.
When the library is open, books may be returned to the loans/information desk. An after hours return chute is available to permanent students via the after hours study room.

The Library and Resource Centre has four computers that can to be used to access the library catalogue, databases and the internet including email, as well as Microsoft Office and EndNote. Data points for network access and powerpoints are available for connecting laptops. Wireless access is also available throughout the building. All Library and Resource Centre computers are connected to network printers.
Access for community borrowers is limited to resources available on the UQ website.

Flyers promoting Library resources are displayed around the Library. Information relevant to medical students, such as weekly timetables, may also be displayed.
A study room with study spaces and computers is located within the Library and Resource Centre. There is one group study table.

Over 1400 items are held in the Toowoomba collection. The collection covers all medical areas of relevance to third and fourth year MBBS students, including: general medicine, genetics, anatomy, pathology, imaging, psychiatry, anaesthesia, orthopaedics, gynaecology, obstetrics, paediatrics, dermatology and pharmacology, medical law and rural health.

Additional resources may be requested from the other 13 branch libraries of the University of Queensland Library.
Members of the University of Queensland Library may suggest items to be added to the Library's collection.
Schools and Centres may also contact their Liaison Librarian to make a suggestion for purchase.

The Liaison Librarian regularly sends updates to students and staff to highlight new Library resources. To be included on the mailing list, please contact the Liaison Librarian.

Enquiries about loans, problems with library records and requests for items held at another campus library can be made at the Loans Desk. Held items and items requested from the warehouse or other libraries are also held at the loans desk.

Lost property will be held for two weeks in the Library.
