Overdue Charges

At the point when:

  • 14, 28, 84 or recalled items are seven days overdue
  • 3 or 7 day loans are 3 days overdue
  • overnight, 4 or 2 hour loans are one day overdue,

the Library will suspend your borrowing access until the overdue material is returned.

When applicable, overdue charges will be imposed FROM THE DUE DATE calculated per item as follows:

  • 14, 28, 84 day loans - 20 cents per item per day
  • 3 or 7 day loans - $4 per day
  • Recalled items returned after the new due date - $1.40 per item per day
  • Overnight, 4 and 2 hour loans - $2 per hour.
  • Overdue laptops are charged at the rate of $20 per hour.

If you lose your borrowing access, this will be restored when:

  • you return the overdue items
  • you have paid at least $10 and have reduced the total amount owing to less than $20.

Please note that individual charges are payable in full.
